Gold Focus is the perfect option if you’re starting out – whether you’re taking off in your career, just married or thinking of starting a family. This is an important time in your life and you need to make sure you’re able to get (and give your family) the best healthcare you can afford. The Gold Focus option from Liberty Medical Scheme provides generous cover plus the freedom of choice of private hospitals.

Gold Focus offers unlimited cover in the event of an accident, generous cover for in–hospital medical treatments, and extensive help with managing chronic conditions. And because you should only pay for what you need, there are no day–to–day benefits or savings.

Members can also enjoy the added value of the Day–to–Day Extender, which is a set of out–of–hospital benefits (normally self–funded) that are paid by the Scheme risk and not out of your pocket. The Day–to–Day Extender also includes cover for casualties, MRI/CAT scans, crime trauma, day procedures and a collection of preventative care benefits.

Gold Focus provides cover at 100% of the Liberty Medical Scheme (LMS) Rate. This means that if a medical service provider charges above this rate, the member is responsible for the difference.

You can seek treatment in the best hospitals by the best specialists.

Because there is no medical savings facility (MSF) on the Platinum Focus option, we have introduced the Day–to–Day Extender, a collection of out–of–hospital benefits that are paid from Scheme risk – this means that these benefits will no longer be self–funded. Included in this extensive collection of benefits is a casualty benefit, a preventative care benefit, a MRI/CAT scan benefit, a crime trauma benefit and a day procedures benefit.
