LMS Health Initiative
Liberty Medical Scheme (LMS) launched a unique initiative to showcase health documentaries at Ster Kinekor cinemas across the country in order to communicate important messages and share essential knowledge of various chronic conditions. The screenings aim to continue the
LMS national health drive to empower the nation and dispel popular health myths, as well as to address preventative measures regarding the conditions.
To date, four screenings have been held. The first one addressed breast cancer and was narrated by Gerry Rantseli–Elsdon the second tackled cardiovascular disease and gave audiences the opportunity to engage with Mark Pilgrim and Dr. Ali Bacher who shared their experiences on heart disease; the third unpacked diabetes while the fourth addressed asthma.
The initiative has afforded
LMS the opportunity to work with great partners such as Clicks, Canderel, Aspen PharmaCare and Albany Bakeries, who have helped in bringing these important messages to South Africans.
